Ian MacLeods 12 Year Old Isle of Skye Blended Scotch Whisky 750ml Bottle

Not awful by any means! Wound up getting it for $32 because of some disarray finagling and some class by the merchant yet under retail and still upbeat about it. Smell is earthy colored sugar and raisins some vanilla marshmallows and wisps of oak. Taste is sweet at first and follows the nose. Medium bodied being charming for a mix at that point waiting for some time from its slick nature. Completes somewhat hot and peaty however with a slight off note that I can just estimate is because of it either being a mix a $32 bottle or both. Nothing that prevents me from appreciating however. May even vanish as I let the container breath. All things considered it won't wow anybody however it unquestionably won't irritate them. Certainly justified regardless of the cash spent!

There's more than at first meets the eye. The first nosing and taste is Overly sweet - it's for all intents and purposes creme brulee in fluid structure caramelized sugar and sweet vanilla custard. With a couple of moments to inhale there's a touch of salt and sweet funnel smoke that start to develop just as a nuttiness (amaretto/marzipan). Rich and tasty with a lot going on when you give it some an ideal opportunity to open up.
